CT Asbestos Inspector
RTK Environmental is seeking a licensed Connecticut Asbestos Inspector. This is a full-time, position that consists of both field and remote work.
As an Asbestos Inspector you will interface with our clients in their homes and businesses, providing inspections for asbestos and possibly mold/lead if qualified. We cater to both new and repeat clients who know us by our high standard of professionalism.

We are an environmental testing firm in business for 30 years. We service the NYC Tri-State area including Connecticut, Northern New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties. Our team consists of field inspectors, office staff and the management team. We are known in the industry for providing timely, professional and expert services in homes, apartment buildings and businesses.
Prospective Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate holds a current Connecticut Asbestos license and/or Asbestos Inspector license. Related experience or certification in another environmental testing discipline is a plus.
- Must be based in Connecticut to service the areas above.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clientele, including homeowners, management companies, insurance adjusters, remediation contractors, and realtors related to projects.
- Must maintain an upbeat attitude and stay motivated to help represent RTK to our clients. Our inspectors are the face of the company, so positivity is key!
- Must be able to work independently and complete reports in a timely manner.
- Able to work with a small team and assist with ongoing operations as required. This includes in-person, over-the-phone and email correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and report writing required. You will be asked for a writing sample.
- Must be a trustworthy individual who is capable of following a schedule, with the ability to handle changes with limited notice.
- This position requires daily driving. A clean driving record and background check are required.
- Company vehicle is provided for use during work hours.
