Robert Weitz, CMI, Principal & Founder
Robert Weitz
is an environmental testing expert. He’s the principal and founder of RTK Environmental, a leader in the field of testing and consulting in mold, lead, asbestos, VOCs, water, soil, radon, and indoor air quality. What sets him apart is his passion for working with his clients, with whom he shares his 30+ years of knowledge and expertise on a daily basis. Mr. Weitz helps homeowners and commercial property owners by assessing their environmental situations, identifying root causes, and explaining the best methods to address the issues.
Bob has been featured in cover stories of several prominent publications including the New York Times, NBC’s The Today Show, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and the Stamford Advocate, serving as an expert source in the fields of mold, spore morphology, and of environmental testing. He is a Certified Microbial Investigator, board certified through the American Indoor Air Quality Association. He holds numerous lead testing and consulting designations in New York and Connecticut through the Environmental Protection Agency and the Connecticut Department of Health. His community work includes performing free environmental inspections for low-income residents. He is a graduate of Siena College and resides in Connecticut.
Meegan Taddonio, CRIE, Director of Client Services
Meegan Taddonio is the Director of Client Services at RTK Environmental Group. For nearly a decade, she has been counseling clients, helping them to identify and alleviate environmental issues in their homes and workplaces. She oversees daily operations, assisting both residential and commercial clients with a range of scenarios and concerns. Meegan is a Certified Residential Indoor Environmentalist and continues to seek avenues of training to provide educated and versatile service.
Meegan is a graduate of Sage College in Albany, NY and lives with her husband, child, and cat.
Tom Taylor, Inspector Manager
Tom Taylor has been with RTK Environmental Group for twelve years. Prior to joining the team, he worked in the building and construction industry for close to three decades as a master carpenter, with experience in marine carpentry, and as a union journeyman carpenter in New York City. During his years in construction, Tom was a licensed home improvement contractor in Westchester County and a New York State certified code enforcement officer.
Tom resides in New York, and lives with his wife and children.
Michael Christy, Business Development Manager
Michael Christy serves as the Business Development Manager and has been with RTK Environmental for two years. Prior to joining the RTK team, Mike served as Vice President of a content’s restoration company for eleven years. There he helped homeowners and businesses with their contents damaged by fire or water. Mike has developed strong relationships throughout the industry and enjoys helping people after disasters occur.
Mike resides in Connecticut with his dog Cooper and has four adult children and one grandchild.
Rocky, CTI (Chief Treat Inspector)
Rocky is the Chief Treat Inspector (CTI) for RTK Environmental. A dedicated member of the RTK office team, Rocky brings joy to the staff and visitors on a daily basis. He is in charge of snuggles and smiles, as well as snack cleanup.
Rocky resides in Connecticut with his mom Katrina and really, really likes treats.
