Indoor Air Quality Testing Service in Westchester
We often equate air quality with what we’re breathing outdoors. And in Westchester County, that’s usually pretty good. However, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reports that indoor levels of many pollutants may be 25 – 100 times higher than the levels outdoors. What we breathe when we’re indoors is just as critical because air pollution occurs there, too. This means that our health can be impacted by the indoor air quality in our homes, workplaces, and apartments.
Most indoor air pollution is caused by the vapors or particles given off by common household or office products and furnishings. In Westchester, indoor air quality is even impacted by the volume of traffic and construction, especially in larger cities like White Plains, Yonkers, New Rochelle, and Mount Vernon.
RTK Environmental Group provides indoor air quality testing in Westchester, including the Sound Shore, Tarrytown, Yorktown, Mount Kisco, Harrison, Purchase, Rye Brook, Sleepy Hollow, and Katonah-Lewisboro. We can find out if there are dangerous levels of mold or chemicals in your home, business, building or retail store by testing for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mold, carbon monoxide, off-gassing from carpets or furniture, radon, and particles from wood-burning stoves and furnaces.
And you can rely on our results.
Our No Conflict-of-Interest Policy
Our customized investigations can determine if there’s a health hazard present or rule out the root causes of your air quality problem. We provide detailed reports with recommendations on how to resolve your environmental issues. Then, once the issue is remediated, we’ll return to verify if the situation was resolved successfully. Since our practice is strictly limited to environmental testing and consulting – and never remediation – you’re assured of an unbiased and accurate assessment.
